I would try to write a well written and intelligent e-mail to someone who is a member, or even one of the heads. If you tell them that you are a huge fan of their website, and that you would like to become a member, then you probably will get in if you are polite and write a good e-mail.
Email them at to find out how to get an invitation. You may need to submit some of your work before they will even consider you, but get the ball rolling by emailing them.
